- ➤ A survey by the Iowa Business Council shows that leaders of major companies are less positive about the economy and now expect lower sales, reduced capital spending and fewer hires in the coming months — even though most remain in the positive range overall. - ➤ County officials met with residents in Oakland on April 3 to discuss rising property assessments, tax changes, and projects including a streetcar study and road repairs—officials explained that properties are first valued at full market rate before adjustments.
