- ➤ Chefs from Conagra Brands prepared holiday meals Wednesday at three shelters, including the Council Bluffs venue, as part of the annual Holiday Shelter Meals initiative. The event supports the Shine the Light on Hunger campaign and invites residents to donate nonperishable food at designated orange barrels. KETV
- ➤ Nearly 31,000 pounds of food and nearly $6,000 in cash were collected at Methodist drop-off sites to support St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, the Micah House in Council Bluffs, and Care Corps Lifehouse in Fremont. The Salvation Army is still tallying toy donations. WOWT

- ➤ Country singer Jordan Davis will perform at Stir Concert Cove on July 10 as part of its first summer concert lineup in 2026. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. with presale starting Thursday at 10 a.m. using code STIR26. KETV
- ➤ ZZ Top, an award-winning rock band, is set to perform on May 14 next year in Council Bluffs at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln as part of Stir Cove's summer lineup. Tickets will be available on Friday at 10 a.m. with presale on Thursday using the code STIR26. KETV

- ➤ Golden Hills RC&D has asked rural landowners in Southwest Iowa to fill out a survey that will improve water quality and reduce soil erosion; the brief questionnaire, part of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program & the Underserved Farmer to Farmer program, is set to boost outreach on cost-sharing programs. - ➤ Overnight on Dec. 10, more than 3,000 Omaha metro customers and nearly 60 Council Bluffs residents lost power, and officials said service was expected to be restored by 8:30 a.m. Weather-related issues were cited for the outages. KETV
