- ➤ Today, the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center hosts Halloween haunts with a flashlight tour and live music and art events. PACE will add festive activities throughout the evening to engage local attendees. The Daily Nonpareil
- ➤ Squirrel Cage Jail continues its haunted flashlight tours this weekend—visitors will take a terrifying trip through its dark cells and experience a scare-filled journey into its past. The Daily Nonpareil
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hitchcock Nature Center and Pottawattamie County Conservation are hosting the 6th annual Witchy Woods Walk — a Halloween hike on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. that lets community members see how the forest is changing. The Daily Nonpareil
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office is asking local residents for donations to support its Shop with the Sheriff program as the holiday season nears + The donation drive aims to strengthen community ties through this outreach effort. The Daily Nonpareil
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center held its annual Women Helping Women celebration today in Council Bluffs, where dozens of survivors shared their cancer journeys over a homemade dinner, a guest speaker, and a performance by American Midwest Ballet. Survivors encouraged others to get screened if they notice changes and found strength in sharing their personal stories. KETV

Connections Area Agency on Aging Announces “Steak Your Claim” Raffle
Connections Area Agency on Aging is excited to announce the launch of its Steak Your Claim Raffle, offering the chance to win ¼ of locally sourced beef—complete with processing at a local meat locker—valued at over $1,500.
