🏛️ Government
On October 25, the Pottawattamie County Veterans Service Office will host a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 623 6th Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Community members are invited to bring American flags for proper retirement, and the event will feature a corridor of flags, a Color Guard demonstration, and a 21-gun salute — a tribute to the flag's symbolic values.
