A HomeGoods store is set to open in Council Bluffs in October—its corporate office confirmed the plan.

The new location will offer home furnishings to local shoppers.

Council Bluffs primary candidates were invited by the Facebook group 'CB Chat / Council Bluffs Chat' to answer questions about supporting small businesses with a response period of 15 minutes followed by three and a half hours of public comment—additional questions will be posted at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday and Friday with moderators set to remove disrespectful remarks.
