Good morning, Council Bluffs.

A Council Bluffs family began rebuilding after a fast-moving house fire turned their home into a charred shell—neighbors and first responders quickly helped them escape, and they lost key business equipment and farm data while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On August 22, the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency presented the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan that outlines safer roads, improved transit, and better bridges to connect farms and communities.

Residents will soon be invited to give feedback as grant programs may boost these projects—setting a course for future local growth.
