GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Regional Water Rural Water Association confirmed on August 15 that the ATP system remains in Level Red status—strict water use rules continue for all customers served by the Avoca Treatment Plant in towns like Avoca, Brayton, and Exira. The restrictions ban outdoor watering, vehicle washing, and other water uses, and violators may face fines. Pottawattamie County
- ➤ Officials with New Visions said low income seniors in Nebraska and Iowa face job losses if federal funding does not arrive by next week—without the funds, the National Able Network and its employment program will run out of money for staff salaries. WOWT
