- ➤ Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office and the County Emergency Management Agency joined local and regional agencies for National Night Out at Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park in Council Bluffs earlier this month to share safety tips and show off equipment like patrol vehicles and a bomb truck robot—handing out free food and giveaways. - ➤ Council Bluffs firefighters rescued two teenagers and two dogs from a second-story window at a home near Spencer and Raymond avenues on Thursday during a two-alarm fire—officials believe two cats died and the incident remains under investigation. KETV
