- ➤ Construction of MidAmerican Energy's Adventure Tower at River’s Edge in Council Bluffs is back on track this summer after flooding caused delays; its first phase will finish next spring and feature a climbing wall that meets pre-Olympic standards, a caving experience, and a roller glide ride. The project—managed by the Southwest Iowa Nonprofit for Collective Impact—is part of Council Bluffs' plan to boost local riverfront amenities, with a dog park and playground planned for 2027. WOWT
