- ➤ Heavy rain is forcing many Omaha-area businesses to close this Memorial Day weekend, with Fun-Plex losing up to 2,500 visitors and nearly $10,000 in revenue while Waterloo's Tubing and Adventures canceled reservations due to cold, wet conditions. - ➤ Afghan refugees in Iowa got letters from Homeland Security ordering them to leave the United States, which has sparked fear of deportation and concerns over safety in Afghanistan—Safi from Afghan Partners said many are now reaching out to Iowa’s congressional delegation for help in light of the end of Temporary Protected Status. There are 1,250 Afghan refugees in Iowa facing uncertainty as the changes take effect. KETV
