- ➤ On Tuesday, KETV got an exclusive look inside the Historic Squirrel Cage Jail in Council Bluffs, a rotating jail built in 1885 that once held up to 60 inmates in a 90,000 lb metal cage. Tour guide Trudy Beno explained the site features original graffiti and a kitchen used by the jailor’s wife—details that mark its unique past until its closing in 1969. KETV
