- ➤ A public forum to address water resource concerns along the Missouri River will be held Saturday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Council Bluffs Public Library, sponsored by the American Association of University Women. The Daily Nonpareil

- ➤ Karen Davis lost her legal recourse and must remove all dogs from her kennel by April 25—the court ruled that her zoning and home business claims did not stop the shutdown. Neighbors complained about barking dogs while her puppies are already sold and her remaining 15 adult German Shepherds will soon be rehomed. WOWT
- ➤ U.S. Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins said she is excited as she reviewed Gov Reynolds’ waiver request for a new summer food program in Iowa—Reynolds asked to replace the federal $40 monthly card with a food box per child and a decision is expected soon. WOWT

Mike Flood said the Nebraska Valley weather station paused its twice-daily weather balloon launches on Monday due to staff shortages and cost-cutting, and officials warn the loss of critical data may reduce forecast accuracy for severe storms in our region — local communities might receive less reliable warnings when storms approach.
