Good morning, Council Bluffs.

The Pottawattamie County Board of Conservation will build a 5-mile trail between Weston and Underwood as part of the Great American Rail Trail, planning in 2026 to connect Council Bluffs — state funds are secured and extra grants are expected before construction begins.

After its museum partnership ended, the historical society is pivoting to secure funds for development to support future growth.

The group will leverage its modernized operations * launching plans for new opportunities.
