GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Iowa lawmakers advanced a bill Wednesday to end vaccine requirements for elementary and secondary students. If passed, the bill would remove the need for immunization proof (except for medical or religious reasons) and could make Iowa the first state to take this step. WOWT
- ➤ Pottawattamie County celebrated employees recognized through its 2025 quarterly awards and praised their dedication to public service. Annual winners will be announced next month — a continued effort to recognize outstanding work in county departments. Pottawattamie County

- ➤ Yesterday, Council Bluffs kids visited a dentist for nonprofit Firefly’s 19th annual Give Kids a Smile Day as part of a field trip organized with 10 schools; about 100 children received free cleanings, exams and needed treatments and went home with educational materials. KETV
