About Anna Lehotyak
For families living on tight budgets, diapers are a daily necessity that is easy to overlook and hard to afford. Without enough of them, parents may be unable to leave their babies in childcare, and the stress of going without can touch every part of family life.
In this talk, Anna Lehotyak will explain why diapers are a basic health need and how a community can respond to it. She will share how Nebraska Diaper Bank provides diapers and other essentials to families facing hardship, and what it means for a parent to receive that support with dignity.
Anna will also take you behind the scenes of mission-driven fundraising. You'll hear how nonprofits build lasting partnerships with corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors, and how sustaining both daily operations and long-term programming depends on connection and trust.
Metro Leadership Network will also be hosting a diaper drive, please bring a package to donate.
You'll walk away with:
• A clearer understanding of diaper need and its impact on children and parents
• Donated diapers to support the cause
• Insight into how a local nonprofit turns community support into real results
• Practical ideas for building meaningful partnerships and getting involved
Anna has served at Nebraska Diaper Bank for more than seven years as both Program Manager and Development Director. Her passion for supporting mothers and babies began in local MOPS groups.
