He will present Mechanisms and regulatory roles of transcription factors

• Surprising poor overlap between the binding and regulatory targets for most yeast transcription factors
• Transcription factor targeting involves both the DNA binding domain and disordered protein regions
• Most transcription factors have dual function – both activating and repressing different sets of genes
