About this event
B’nai Israel Synagogue’s monthly 2nd Friday Service welcomes Mary-Beth Muskin (a change from our originally scheduled speaker). Mary-Beth, also the lead curator of B’nai Israel’s Living History Synagogue, will share experiences from her recent trip to Morocco with her husband, Bruce. The warm welcome they received throughout their visit—specifically for being Jewish—from locals, guides, and shopkeepers revealed a history of deep respect for the Jewish people within Moroccan society that was unanticipated. Mary-Beth and Bruce found this profoundly heart-warming and refreshing. Particularly amongst the divisiveness that permeates modern society in so many corners of the world.
Join our informal Friday service and stay for the warm community Oneg while hearing Mary-Beth’s stories of moving through this unique country.
