What if some of Omaha’s oldest stories are still right beneath your feet? Join archeologist Rob Bozell as we dig beneath the Omaha we know and explore thousands of years of human history revealed through archeological investigations. The presentation takes place at Metro Community College’s Fort Omaha Campus in Building 10, Room 110.

Ancient Indigenous villages and mounds. French fur trade posts. Sunken steamboats. Forts. Old trails. Each discovery is another clue to the people who were here before us and the lives they lived.

How do we know these places existed? What can something buried for hundreds or even thousands of years tell us? And how much of Omaha’s story is still waiting beneath the surface?

Tickets are free for Douglas County Historical Society members. Non-Members pay a $5 Suggested Donation
